The University at Albany School of Social Welfare is partnering with Mary Sise to research using energy psychology techniques in the relief of trauma suffered from patients who have had a serious heart event including heart attack, cardiac arrest, or bypass surgery. Mary is supervising the delivery of the treatment sessions for study participants.

Does this sound like anyone you know after suffering a heart event?

  • Feeling more anxious than before
  • Having trouble falling asleep, staying asleep, or having nightmares
  • Feeling jumpy, hyper-alert or restless
  • More irritable and less able to enjoy life
  • Increases use of drugs or alcohol to “chill out”

If you know someone 21 and older who is healing from the emotional consequences of a serious heart event, please share this information with them. The event does not have to be recent. View the flyer for more information or call (518) 442-3824.
